RMCD Breaks Revenue Record with RM65.67 Billion Collection in 2024

The Royal Malaysian Customs Department (RMCD) achieved record revenue of RM65.67 billion in 2024, an 18.85% increase from RM55.17 billion in 2023, surpassing the Ministry of Finance’s revised target of RM61.17 billion. For 2025, RMCD targets RM67.25 billion in revenue, aiming to meet and exceed key performance indicators (KPIs). Last year, RMCD foiled 7,215 smuggling and tax evasion attempts, seizing goods worth RM1.644 billion, a 85.91% rise from RM884.27 million in 2023. Key items included cigarettes, alcohol, currency, frozen meat, and vehicle parts. RMCD remains committed to boosting revenue and safeguarding the nation’s economic prosperity and security.
