Mandatory Tax Compliance Certificate (TCC) Now Required for All Government Tender and Project Bidders, Inland Revenue Board (IRB) Confirms

The Inland Revenue Board (IRB) announced that all entities, including companies and individual businesses, must possess a Tax Compliance Certificate (TCC) to bid for government tenders or projects. According to IRB Principal Assistant Director Azaharuddin Mohd Ali, the TCC acts as a mandatory "passport," ensuring that only taxpayers compliant with tax laws—by submitting annual returns and having no outstanding taxes—can conduct business with the government. The TCC is valid for one year, verifiable via a QR code on the MyTax mobile app, and confirms a taxpayer's integrity.
