LHDN Rolls Out Op Metro 3.0 to Strengthen Tax Compliance in Klang Valley

PUTRAJAYA – The Inland Revenue Board (LHDN) has launched Op Metro 3.0 to enhance tax compliance through a focused and strategic approach. Running until June 20, the operation involves 590 officers across Klang Valley and targets 682 cases. Key sectors include construction, manufacturing, consultancy, services, and wholesale trade. Activities cover audits, collections, verification, and compliance. The Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM) is also participating, marking its second collaboration with LHDN. CEO Datuk Dr Abu Tariq Jamaluddin stressed firm action against evasion, while promoting compliance as a civic duty, not a burden, through education and guidance.
