ESSCOM Nabs Six, Uncovers Over RM1.4 Million in Tawau Crime Raid

The Eastern Sabah Security Command (ESSCOM) arrested six individuals, including a foreign national, and seized over RM1.4 million in cash during a cross-border crime operation in the district. The operation, in collaboration with the Inland Revenue Board (LHDN) and Royal Malaysia Police, led to the detention of four men and two women, aged 40 to 47. They were arrested under the Income Tax Act 1967 and Anti-Money Laundering Act. ESSCOM emphasized that operations will continue to ensure public safety and curb cross-border crimes in the Eastern Sabah Safe Zone.
