Government Revises RON97 and Diesel to Increase by 5 Sen Starting 9 January

The government has set the retail price of RON97 petrol at RM3.33 per liter and diesel at RM3.03 per liter in Peninsular Malaysia, reflecting global oil market trends. Diesel prices remain lower than the RM3.35 ceiling set in June 2024.The RON95 petrol price stays at RM2.05, while diesel in Sabah, Sarawak, and Labuan remains at RM2.15.The government will monitor global oil price changes and ensure stability while safeguarding the people’s welfare. Retail prices are determined weekly using the Automatic Pricing Mechanism formula.
